Halloween Party Ideas

So you are having a Halloween birthday party and you need Halloween party ideas, don't worry you have come to the right place. We have lots of SPOOKY party ideas for your kids next birthday party.

Halloween is the theme, but Halloween itself is a big theme. You can decide to have a Masquerade Halloween party or a Victorian Gothic Vampire theme party or maybe a Pumpkin-decorating party.

All of these parties have Halloween as their main theme, but they focus also on a mini theme. For example you can't have a super scary Halloween party if your kid is very young, but if your kid is older in age you can make it the most scariest Halloween party ever. Have a look at our SPOOKY Halloween party ideas below, they will wow you off!

We have easy and cheap Halloween party ideas for invitations, just look below.

Halloween Bat Invitation
Halloween Bat Template
Fold a sheet of black construction paper, so it looks like an invitation card. Trace the shape of our Halloween Bat onto the black invitation card - as you would do with a valentine heart, trace down the half bat shape, cut it out.

Glue a orange rectangular on top of the black invitation paper, to cover the hole. Open the bat and glue it on top of the orange paper, add green eyes to the bat. Voila you have a Halloween Bat Invitation.

Pumpkin Face Invitation
Same procedure as above but use orange construction paper- on top of that glue a black square. Trace the shape of a Pumpkin Face (easy to do) onto the orange invitation card. Cut and paint eyes nose etc.

What ever invitation suggestion you pick remember to send them out early so everyone can get their costumes ready and encourage everyone to dress up!

I promise you! In the shop you will get lots of costumes ideas and your kid can try it on. In Halloween there is no limit, your kid can dress up as what ever she want's as long as she puts a SCARY twist to it. Your little princess can be a witch - "Elvira" or "Morticia" from the Adams Family.

- Halloween Party Ideas -Check out or SPOOKY Halloween party ideas for decorations.

If your child is young don't put lots of SCARY decorations items all over the party room (house), it may scare your kid, and you don't want your kid to cry on her birthday, do you?

Keep it simple, with lots of orange and black balloons, streamers and lots of Halloween images all over the party room. And of course don't forget to put lots of Halloween pumpkins all over the party room.

But if the birthday kid is a bit older then look at our SCARY decorations below. Spooky Cobwebs, Gravestones, Spiders...: Put lots of spooky decorations such as gravestone, spiders, cobwebs and such. All over the party room. Spooky Spider Webs: Start by covering the inside and outside of your house with spider webs. Put them every were.

?

Spooky Ghost: Make a ghost to make your house even more spooky. Use a white bed sheet, draw and paint eyes and mouth, make your ghost look spooky. Make the "HEAD" of the ghost: make a thin paste of flour and water, cut LOTS of long newspaper strips, blow up a balloon. Start by dipping the newspaper stripes into the glue and press them onto the balloon, one at a time. Do this 100 times over until you have a round ball, leave one end uncovered.

Let it dry for more than 24 hours. Get a long wooden stick, pop the balloon inside the "Head" and place the wooden stick on the uncovered end. Seal the end with more newspapers stripes and let it dry again. The day of the party put the white sheet on top of the HEAD of the stick and place the spooky ghost were he can't fall, as many kids may try to touch him, when they see him.

Monster Foot Prints: Draw and cut a large footprint-shaped hole out of construction paper. Paint it with a paint roller and red washable paint, and roll the footprints up your driveway and down your side path, leading up to the gates of the backyard. Giant Bats: Hang lots of big bats all over the party room and outside your house. Make these very large bats by cutting bats shapes out of cardboard. Use an overhead projector to draw them very large (copy a picture out of a book onto an overhead transparency) and then paint the bats with red or green eyes. If you have an outdoor party place the bats around the yard with wooden sticks. Spooky Noises:Buy a Halloween CD with spooky noises or even better make one. Get light sensors rigged to sound devices placed in odd spots. Example whenever a kid walks into the toilet some spooky noises starts.. Ohhhhhh Spooky Glow: Give your house a spooky glow, use black lights instead of the normal light bulbs. Anything white will glow in the dark. Fountain of Blood: Via any party rental get a drink fountain (usually used at weddings). Get the biggest one you can get, have a fountain of blood, if you add a few chunks of dry ice in the fountain of blood = Spooky Fog. Spooky Mirrors: Get some few panes of glass and a few stripes of wood and make Spooky Mirrors, "mirrors that don't reflect". Place the mirrors in places were people will be looking at them. The kids will be really excited to realise they can't se their reflection. Candlelaaaabra: If the kids are old enough and your place is big enough, have a candlelaaaabra "lots of candles". It looks really nice, but this decoration is only for older responsible kids. Spooky Centrepiece & Tableware: Use orange and black table ware. If your child is young tie a bouquet of orange and black balloons to a pumpkin. Put other smaller (in various sizes) pumpkins next to the big one. If your kid is older have a Blood Fountain as centre piece (as described above). Add goblets, spiders, scattered candy corn down the centre of the table, also provide guests with pumpkin cookies with their names on, at each place setting.

Halloween Tortilla Chips: With a Halloween shaped cookie cutter, cut each flour tortilla into bat and ghost shapes. Preheat a broiler, brush both sides of the tortillas with olive oil, broil, flipping once they begin to brown. Take the tortillas out and place them in a cookie sheet, lastly sprinkle with salt. Halloween Dipping Sauce: Make your dipping sauce as normal, but put the sauce in carve medium sized squashes or smaller pumpkins. Jack o Lantern Burgers: Carve faces into the cheese, make burgers as you would normally do, when done add the carve faces. Human Toes: Toes are made by cutting hot dogs into small pieces. Bats & Ghost Cookies: With Halloween cookie cutters, in the form of bats and ghosts, make Halloween cookies. Frost the cookies with orange and black icing, be creative. Choclate & Strawberries: This is really yummy, and guests will really enjoy dipping their strawberries in chocolate. Pumking Punch: First make a punch bowl out of a large pumpkin (cut off the top, spoon out the meat). Fill the Pumpkin with vanilla ice cream and ginger ale. Blood Juice
: Colour your drinks red with a bit of food colouring. - Halloween Party Ideas -

Why not make a witch cake for your daughters birthday party. Please, no pumpkin cake, many children just want a normal cake like everyone else, they don't want a pumpkin cake every year.

Scary Witch Cake
You will need an 8-inch round cake pan and a rectangular cake pan measuring 6 x 10 inches. Make the cakes (your own recipe). When the cakes are done wait for them to cool and then put them in the freezer for about 20-30 min (makes it easier to cut later).

Make the paper pattern for your cakes, use the picture as a guide. Do first a template for the hat, then a round pattern for the face, then a pattern for the nose and the cheek. After that it's time to cut the cake.

Now it's time to frost the cake. You will need green food colouring, (frosting for the face). Use chocolate frosting for the hat and add coffee or black food colouring to make it really black. Smooth the surfaces, so it looks really flat. Use the leftovers of the cake to make the hat brim, cover these with chocolate frosting too.

Move the cake to a large tray (or were you want the cake to be presented). Now frost the remaining pieces and assemble all the pieces together- hat, face, nose, cheek, and the hat brim. Use black spaghetti looking candy for hair and mouth, use brown m&ms for the eyes and use gummy worms to decorate the hat.

- Halloween Party Ideas -We have awesome Halloween party ideas for Goody Bags, check out our ideas below.

To make your own Halloween party bag, you will need A3 orange or black tissue paper, 1 Halloween sheet patterned gift wrap, A3 sheet of white paper, ? metre orange or black ribbon, 2cm wide, 25cm black or orange ribbon 1cm wide, ruler and pencil, PVA glue and brush.

1. Brush glue on the white paper and stick the wrapping paper to it, then glue the tissue paper to the other side of the white paper. The sheet should be cut to 45 x 30cm.

2. Draw to lines, 5cm from the top and bottom of the sheet. Also, draw two lines 20cm in from the sides. Fold and unfold along the lines to make creases.

3. Cut where the lines cross, fold the two small tabs in.

4. Paste glue along the four long tabs, lift the paper so A and B meet. Press the long tabs together then take the small tabs (inside) and pull the small tags up, glue them to the sides. Now you will have a box shape.

5. Now make creases, so it looks like a bag. Make 3 hole on each side (on top of the bag). Thread the orange or black ribbon through the outside holes, to make handles. Tie a knot on the inside of the ribbon.

6. After you have put all your favors in the bag, thread a orange or black ribbon (the small ribbon) through the middle holes and tie it in a bow.

Fill your party bag with small toys, bubbles, a colouring book,? Halloween stickers, homemade orange play dough, glow sticks etc.

- Halloween Party Ideas -Take lots and lots of pictures of each guest with your digital camera. After the party with the help of your computer put some Halloween border (bats, ghost, pumpkins, etc) around the pictures. Put a note at the end of the picture thanking guests for coming. Email the pictures to each guest (if the kids are to small email it to their parents).

If your daughter is so as my Disney wizards of Waverly Place is all that you heard. Unfortunately, not many parties with this theme are still on the Internet. There are few places where you can order supplies online, but a trip to my local store of the party I was left empty handed with character merchandise. I could see that getting a bit crafty was needed.

Decorations: I went with a palette of purple, blue, Orange and Hot Pink. For the table that I started with a table cloth, Violet Blue "great" plate and Purple small pie plates, topped with a napkin orange. For this top off wrapped in a plastic cutlery napkin Orange additional thickened with multicolored curling ribbon. I attached a lollipop "Charm" to go with the theme. I used the pink cups for hot drinks. For the centerpiece I used a dollar store and birthday fountain removed all decorations leaving only silver splashes. I cut some stars metallic and pasted images printed on begins on stars, then glues for sprays. Cheap Flowers of false colours corresponding in small glass jars and entered atop great stars of the silver decoration. I found some little bottles that seemed potion bottles and put some water mixed with glitter in them.

Food: we served sub sandwiches, because the Russian just a sub shop. Also I had used pretzel sticks and covered the peaks of white chocolate and added sprinkles star to look like magic wands. I did kool-aid Orange, purple and pink to drink. And we also had the cake.

Cake: the cake was tie dyed on the upper level and vanilla with marbled colors on the bottom layer.I did at home because the local bakery looked at me like I had two heads when I said that I need a cake of wizards of Waverly Place.I searched online, but almost empty approached delivered. So I decided to go with the flow and came away with this.Just a note to the side that the cut out of Alex came from a fixed set that I bought for back to school.I had kept its box and cut it to keep to the cake. Also, find a great was the shimmer gel used to make swirls and outline shapes. they don't show much in the picture, but they were cool in person. Also I found some candles wand at the local supermarket and ended the cake.

Gaming and music activities: we used the soundtrack to show for playing during the Festival for a craft, I had a table of crafts, established with all markers, glue, glitter, stickers and packaging of paper and old buttons. every child has given me a cut 1/2 of a provision of the tube (the type that you can roll up smaller, not the cardboard circle) that I had rolled into a form of tight paper wand. each covered "wand" packaging of paper or tape and Paste buttons at each end, and are decorated to they felt. I also gave each child a jig of a star to be decorated. When were finished I hung them on a table-cloth that hung as a banner. I had cut in half the words "Wizards of (insert name Street)" and put it in the Middle, then hung stars decorated around it.

The children then took turns reading spells deviating from the show that I had printed line. they danced to the music soundtrack, and for a great finishing watched the "wizards of Waverly Place Movie" which was on TV.
The party was great and all ragazzium Wizards had a good time!

Clown Birthday Party Ideas

A Clown birthday party is so much fun and kids love them. There has to be a Clown, either you get a professional circus Clown at your party or you dress up as one and learn some tricks. Now lets start planning.

Balloon Invitations
To make this Clown birthday party invitation you need to blow up a balloon and write the party information on it with permanent markers.

When done deflate the balloon and put it in an envelope with a handful of confetti. If you want, you can include a small note telling guests to blow up the balloon to read the party information.

Clown Invitations
To make this Clown birthday party invitation you need to find a nice looking Clown face picture on the internet. Print it out and put different coloured glitter glue on the face of the Clown so the Clown's face shines. For example if the nose of the Clown is green put green litter on it, if the mouth is red put red glitter on it, etc.

Wording:
I am having a Clown Birthday Party!
Come and Join Us in the Fun!
There will be Face Painting and more Fun!
Date, Time, Address.
RSVP to "phone nr" by "date".

At this Clown birthday party the birthday girls should dress up as a Clown and have her face painted as a Clown.

When guests arrive transform them into Clowns. Make, buy or rent circus Clown accessories, such red noses, bow ties, wigs, white gloves, etc.

The theme colours for this Clown birthday party are red, blue, and yellow. Decorate the party area with lots of balloons and streamers in the theme colours. Have lots of colourful streamers hanging down from the entrance of a door. So the kids have to go through it every time they go from one room to another.

Decorate your house with Clown posters on the walls and front door and use really cool colour sheets on the walls. Place stuffed animals all around the party area. A good idea is to set up a small circus tent inside the party room. Put lots of big pillows (red, blue and yellow) under the tent, so the kids can sit there.

Use a red table cover and paper plates, paper cups with circus Clowns on them. Decorate the table with toy Clowns and lots of confetti stars. For centrepiece have a Clown cupcake tree. Frost cupcakes to look like clown faces and put them on a silver cupcake tower (you will find this at party stores). Place the cupcake tower in the middle of the table.

A good idea is to have a Clown holding a bouquet of helium balloons at the entrance to give to each child as they arrive to the Clown birthday party. And lastly don't forget to have marching music playing in the background.

Clown Make Over & Face Painting
As guests arrive transform them into small Clowns. First stop is the wardrobe station were the little guests will be dressed up as Clowns. You need to have a big box full of Clown clothes that the kids can choose from. The second station is the mini-maker over table, were kids will get face painted as Clowns. Have a parent or teen help you with the face painting, each kid should receive a red nose, pink cheeks, arched browns, and a big smile. You can also paint stars or moons on the cheeks of the children.

Balloon Relay
Divide the kids into two pairs. Line all pairs up at the starting line. The pairs have to stand back to back at the starting line. Place a balloon between the pairs legs, they have to squish the balloon from keeping it to fall down. Start the game by counting to three, the first pair to reach the finishing line with the balloon between their legs wins. If the balloon breaks or falls the pair have to return to the starting line to get a new balloon. This game is best played outside.

Clown Relay
Divide the kids into two groups. Ask the kids to put on their original clothes. At the opposite side of the starting line their has to be two Clown outfits. The first team member to start from each team has to run to the other side, get dressed in the Clown clothes and then run back to it's team members and get the Clown clothes off. Next team member has to put the Clown clothes on, run to the other side, take the Clown clothes off and run back to is team members, etc. The first team to finish, wins the game.

Pie Eating Contest
Give each child a pie at the beginning of the game. Count to three, the child who finishes the pie the fastest, wins the game. All children don't have to compete as some may not like this game. This game is especially fun for the boys at the party.

Fishing
Make fishing pole out of a stick with a magnet on the end. Let the kids catch a fish made out of paper with magnets on the back, in a mini pool. Whatever number the fish has on their back, that's how many candies the kids get.

Water Balloon Toss
Clown birthday party game similar to Hot Potato, but played with a balloon filled with water. This game should be played outdoors. Invite the kids to form a circle while music is playing in the background. Give a balloon filled with water to one of the kids, the kid has to pass the balloon over to the next player or who ever he wants to pass it to as soon as possible. Stop the music, the kid holding the balloon is out of the game. Start the game again and play until there is one player left. Have a small price ready for the winner.

Clown Toss
Beforehand paint a clown face on a large cardboard box and cut out a big mouth. Set the box in the middle of the party room. Give the first kid to go two beanbags. He has to try to throw the beanbag through the mouth hole on the Clown's face.

Clown Stunts
Have the kids perform simple stunts. Before they do this let the Clown teach the kids simple stunts. When the kids are ready let them perform in groups in front of the other kids and parents with the help of the Clown.

Clown Pi?ata
Kids love pi?atas and it's lots of fun. Fill the pi?ata with Clown related small items and lots of candy.

First birthday Beach Party Theme

Nicole c.
(Philadelphia PA)

A theme of part of the beach is always a fun idea for everyone. this idea can be really party for all ages, depending on what you want to include. We did this for my daughter's first birthday, but it works even for adults.

We stuck our Street, put out some tables, used flip-flops and beach balls as centres and beach towels as tablecloths. We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone and had a tent set up to eat, or just to get out of the Sun.

We've also set up regular and beach chairs for guests to relax and have a conversation. For water, we had a 4 ft deep pool for people to swim in. we used the baby pools filled with ice as our coolers for beer and soda.Another idea would be to rent a machine that dispenses frozen drinks, for a tropical feel.

We also had a large sandbox created for children to play on the "beach". we have established some paper lanterns on illumination, the Sun went down, and enlightened tiki torches to light and to ward off any bugs.

All children got plastic cups in the form of coconuts per their beverages we had plastic buckets or tote bags Beach filled with sidewalk chalk and paint, water guns and bubbles to grasp and playing with children. we had another tote filled with low cost flip flops in adult and child sizes, for those not wearing them, or simply as a favor to take home. We also gave all her when they showed it before.

We have programmed our iPod with lots of fun Beach Music, which was the kid friendly: Beach Boys, Wipeout, Surfin USA. cake was just a regular pie, but in fact sheet to look like the beach and the sea, with a few small palms and plates on it. all in all, it was a great moment for everyone!

Mario party ideas are few and far between! So I thought I would post here to share my ideas. All are original, unless otherwise specified. The party was a great success!

There was an egg Yoshio smash.I found this idea online and then found a tutorial on how to make eggs on you tube!

Children popped balloons. inside balloons were clues, helping them to find the Princess Peach, who was held captive in the basement of Bowser.Clues inside balloons led them to coins of Cartonboard hidden around the courtyard. Once you have collected 8 of them (there were 8 children) have used the last clue to find where she was hiding. When they found Peach, they found them too treat bags.

Each game was called a level.Level 1, level 2, etc.

Was attended by around the yard playing MARIO KART (riding the wheels power). My husband had them make foil Helmets before the race, they looked funny!

There was a Mario game mix-up (totally last minute, needed one more game the night before!).Printed 3 8 x 10 pictures of Luigi, Mario and Peach, stratified li and put the Velcro sticky on my shoulders. Then cut them in half and mixed the heads with their feet. The kids had to reorganize them as fast as they could. If you could do it in less than 30 seconds (all done in under 15 years) had a coin.

Children received chocolate coins after each game. They put them in bags of packed brown they had decorated at the beginning of the party.

And the cake, cake of course. cake decorations were ordered from e-Bay, leaving China for $ 12. I saw a picture of a cake like this and decided to give it a try. I used the fudge instead of buttercream. it was all a labor of love and time but was perfect!

Printed all manifests me doing an image search online and mounted them aboard the poster. I think I will do in the future for parts for my children. Yes, uses a lot of ink, but it is still cheaper than buying decorations!
